Free Eye Care, Treatment, Diabetes and HIV Screening for the Community

Herona Community Hospital is pleased to announce an upcoming community health outreach at Bishops Playground on 3 October 2026, bringing essential healthcare services closer to members of the community.
As part of our commitment to improving access to affordable and preventive healthcare, the Herona Community Hospital medical team will be available to provide a range of free health services during the outreach.
Free Services Available
Members of the public are invited to attend and benefit from the following services:
👁️ Free Eye Examinations
Community members will have an opportunity to receive professional eye examinations and advice regarding their eye health.
💊 Free Treatment
Patients identified with conditions requiring treatment will receive appropriate care during the outreach, subject to clinical assessment and availability of medicines.
🩸 Free Diabetes Screening
Participants will have the opportunity to undergo diabetes screening and receive information about healthy living and the importance of knowing their blood sugar status.
❤️ Free HIV Screening
Free HIV screening and appropriate counselling will also be available to members of the community in a confidential and supportive environment.
Everyone Is Welcome
The outreach is open to members of the general public. Whether you have concerns about your eyesight, want to check your blood sugar, wish to know your HIV status, or simply want to take a proactive approach to your health, we encourage you to attend.
Early screening can help identify health concerns and provide an opportunity to seek appropriate care and follow-up when necessary.
