Celebrating Prof. Colin and the 1MET Team: Decades of Friendship, Service, and Impact
Herona Community Hospital proudly extends its heartfelt appreciation to Professor Colin, Liz, and the entire 1MET Team for their enduring friendship, unwavering commitment, and remarkable humanitarian service over many decades.
As we reflect on the year 2025 and look ahead to 2026, we are deeply moved by the kind Christmas and New Year message shared with us by Prof. Colin and the IMET Team. Their words remind us not only of a long-standing partnership, but of a shared mission rooted in compassion, service, and global solidarity.
The 1MET Team continues to work tirelessly in some of the world’s most challenging environments, including Gaza and the West Bank, providing hope and medical support in appalling and difficult circumstances. Their courage and dedication to serving vulnerable communities in times of crisis are truly inspiring.
At the same time, we remain profoundly grateful for their continued support of cataract services at Herona Community Hospital. Through this partnership, thousands of patients have regained their sight, dignity, and independence. What may seem like a medical procedure is, in reality, a life-changing gift to individuals and families across our community.
At Herona Community Hospital, we say thank you for your friendship, generosity, and commitment that spans decades. Your support has left an indelible mark on our institution and on the many lives we serve.
We wish Prof. Colin, Liz, and the entire IMET Team a Happy Christmas and a Peaceful, Healthy, and Hope-Filled New Year. May 2026 bring renewed strength, safety, and success in all your humanitarian endeavors.
With deep gratitude,
Herona Community Hospital
