A Week of Healing at Herona Community Hospital

Herona Community Hospital in Kisoga recently hosted a dedicated team of visiting surgeons who carried out a week-long medical camp focused on providing free hernia surgeries to patients in need. more than 80 surgeries were performed ,The initiative was part of the hospital’s ongoing mission to serve the community regardless of financial status.

The visiting team, composed of skilled surgeons, anesthetists, and nurses, worked hand in hand with Herona’s local medical staff to ensure smooth operations and quality care. Over the course of the camp, dozens of patients—many of whom had lived with hernias for years due to financial constraints—received successful surgical treatment at no cost.

The atmosphere at the hospital was filled with gratitude and hope as patients and their families expressed heartfelt appreciation for the life-changing support.
