
Medical Outreach Camp at St. Paul Catholic Church, Mukono
n October 11, 2025, Herona Community Hospital Kisoga, Mukono, in partnership with the IMET team, conducted a successful medical outreach camp at St. Paul Catholic Church, Mukono. The outreach focused on eye health, aiming to improve vision care and raise awareness about the importance of regular eye check-ups within the community.
A total of 310 clients were attended to during the exercise. Comprehensive eye examinations were carried out by a dedicated team of specialists led by Mr. Biringiro, an Ophthalmic Clinical Officer. The team provided free medications and reading glasses to those in need, addressing various eye conditions and helping many regain clear vision.
The IMET team offered vital support throughout the outreach, ensuring smooth coordination and effective service delivery. Their contribution, combined with the commitment of the Herona Community Hospital staff, made the event a great success.
Special appreciation was extended to Rev. Fr. Sebitoogo, the parish priest of St. Paul Catholic Church, for his hospitality and assistance in mobilizing the community. His support played a key role in ensuring a large turnout and a welcoming environment for all participants.
