HAD ASUCCESFUL DENTAL CAMP AT HERONA COMMUNITY HOSPITAL

Dental camps are an important way to provide dental care and education to individuals who may not have access to regular dental services. In Uganda, dental camps have become a critical tool in addressing the country’s dental health crisis.

The event was held at herona community hospital Kisoga We provided dental care and education to over 500 individuals in the community.

The dental camp was staffed by volunteer dental professionals who provided a range of services, including cleanings, fillings, extractions, and oral health screenings. In addition to providing dental care, the volunteers also provided education on proper oral hygiene and preventative care.

One of the main goals of the dental camp was to address the lack of access to dental care in the area. Many people in rural areas of Mukono south constituency and Uganda do not have access to regular dental services due to a lack of dental professionals and resources.

The dental camp event at herona community hospital helped to fill this gap by providing dental care to individuals who may not have been able to access it otherwise. This included individuals who did not have dental insurance, those who lived in remote areas, and those who could not afford regular dental care.

In addition to providing dental care, the dental camp also helped to raise awareness about the importance of oral health. Many people in Uganda do not prioritize dental care due to a lack of education and resources. By providing education on proper oral hygiene and preventative care, the dental camp helped to empower individuals to take control of their dental health and prevent dental problems from occurring in the first place.
